April Renee Oxendine and Champ Watis Goins III, both of Rowland were married on Aug. 30 at Saddletree Church of God. The Rev. Timmy Hunt officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Earl and Jeniva Oxendine, both of Lumberton. She attended South Robeson High School and The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and works for Campbell Soup.
The bridegroom is the son of Janice Goins and the late Champ Watis Goins II, of Fayetteville. He attended Douglas Byrd High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College and works for Cape Fear Valley Health Systems.
The matrons of honor were Autmn Deese and Lisa Stone. The bridesmaids were Amanda Huff, Karen Hunt, Hilary Dunn, Tiffany Chavis, Breanna Oxendine, Alvinia Oxendine, and April Jones.
The best man was Rob Mercer. The groomsmen were Sammy Oxendine, Michael Oxendine, Ronnie Locklear, Tommy Stone Jr., Brian Bell, Joshua Huff, and Wayne Bedlton.
The flower girls were Shaylee Locklear and Madison Gails.
The ring bearer was Austyn Jordan Oxendine.
The musicians were Tommy Cox, Johanna Allen, and Candace Hardin.
The reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church.
The wedding trip was a 7-day Caribbean cruise and the couple will live in Rowland.
A bridal shower and gift card shower were given at the brides home hosted bythe mother of the bride, Aunts Jean and Linda, Autumn Deese, and Eunice Lowery. A grooms shower was held at Lone Star Steak House hosted by co-workers of the groom.
