LUMBERTON — A Maxton woman charged with murdering an acquaintance last year was arrested again this week after violating her release terms.
Crystal Gail Locklear, 28, was charged in October 2012 with first-degree murder in the death of 45-year-old Timothy Ray McCutchen.
Locklear was expected to post her $125,000 bond and was released from jail and placed on house arrest in September, according to Gwen Chavis, Superior Court trial court coordinator. When Locklear failed to post bond, Lumberton police arrested her again.
Lcoklear was also charged with misdemeanor larceny and is now being held at the Robeson County jail on $125,500 bond, according to a police report.
McCutchen was found dead in the living room of his rental home on N.C. 130 by his landlord. An autopsy showed that he died of blunt-force trauma to the head, according to sheriff’s Maj. Howard Branch.
