Lumberton
Betty Walton Robinson, 70, of 303 W. 32nd St., died April 21, 2006, at home.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, the Revs. Dr. Kevin Head and Dr. Russell T. Cherry officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
Robinson was a member of First Baptist Church in Lumberton, where she was in the Sanctuary Choir for 36 years. She served as chairman of the Early Childhood Committee and she also served on the Pastor's Search Committee. She was a Sunday school teacher, leader in the Baptist Young Women and was active in the Surviving Sisters Cancer Support Group.
Surviving are her husband, Dr. E.L. &#8220Lin” Robinson of the home; a son, E.L. &#8220Woody” Robinson III and his wife, Carmen, of Raleigh; a daughter, Betty Lynn Robinson Schwitzgebel and her husband, Ted, of Fayetteville; her mother, Geneva M. Walton of Wilmington; three sisters, Daphne Powlass and JoAnn Mintz, both of Wilmington, and Dee Dee Poss of Tucker, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Rebecca E. Schwitzgebel, Matthew T. Schwitzgebel, Stephen T. Schwitzgebel, Noah F. Robinson, Nicholas W. Robinson, Matthew K. Yates and Emily J. Robinson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory in Lumberton and at other times at the home.
