Mrs. Annie Pearl Rose Brown, 76, of 207 Warren St., Red Springs, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, in her home.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, in Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Revs. Dr. Samuel Norman, Chris Edmonds and Angelo Troy, and Vice Bishop Fredrick Murray officiated. Burial followed in Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Hardin Brown Sr., of the home; 11 sons, Manse Ross of Petersburg, Virginia, John McLean, James Melvin, Michael Ross, Gary McLean, Larry Brown, Freddie Brown, Terry Brown, Kendrick McLean and Rashaad McLean, all of Red Springs, and Hardin Brown Jr. of Fayetteville; four daughters, Frances Henderson and Annie Louise Brown, both of Red Springs, Bert Hutchinson of Lumberton and Mary Perez of New York; a sister, Ialor Floyd of Red Springs; an adopted son, Harvey Hayes of Red Springs; three brothers, Weldon Ross and Roy Ross, both of Red Springs, and Algen Ross of Passaic, N.J.; six grandchildren she raised on her own, Anitra Brown, Jantzen McLean, MacKenzie Brown, Jarred Brown, Freddie Brown Jr. and Khristopher Oxendine; 37 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
