LUMBERTON A 58-year-old woman was choked during an argument with a younger relative on Saturday, according to a sheriffs report.
Rose Gay, of Rasberry Lane, reported to deputies that the male relative came to the home for belongings at about 11:38 a.m.
Gay told deputies that the relative began choking her after an argument, and pushed her to the ground. He then ran from the home and fled in a vehicle, according to the report.

SHANNON Phillip Christopher Strickland, 18, of 610 Lombardy Village Road, was arrested on Friday and charged with breaking and entering.
A sheriffs report said that the St. Pauls high school student was taken to the Robeson County jail at about 1:40 p.m. and also charged with larceny after breaking and entering and possession of a stolen firearm.
He was placed under a $10,000 bond, the report said.

RED SPRINGS A teenager was shot on Friday.
Deputies arrived to a McBridge Road home at about 5 p.m. and found Shamal Elieber, 18, on the front porch with a gun wound to the upper left leg.
The report said Elieber refused to tell deputies how or why he was shot.

RED SPRINGS Deputies arrested a Red Springs man after he allegedly beat a woman during a domestic dispute on Saturday.
According to a sheriffs report, Frank James Hunt was arrested at about 10:15 p.m. and charged with assault on a female and resist, delaying and obstructing an officer.
The report said deputies were forced to deploy a Taser x26 when Hunt refused to place his hands on a wall for a routine weapons search.
Hunt is accused of assaulting Melissa Ann Styers, 42, of Mt. Zion Church Road, during an argument over money, the report said.

LUMBERTON Someone shot into a Ward Street home on Friday, while several people were inside.
According to a sheriffs report, Michael A. Hunt, 18, told deputies that a man came to the door at about 7:50 p.m. and asked where Kenny was.
Hunt told the man that there was no one inside of the home named Kenny and the man got into a vehicle.
The report said that a passenger then got out of the vehicle and fired shots toward the home, shattering a glass door.
No one was injured.

LUMBERTON Alfredo Altunar, 19, of 454 Rex Farm Road, was arrested on Saturday and charged with driving while intoxicated.
A police report said that Altunar had a blood alcohol level of .29, when officers pulled him over going 90 mph on Interstate 95 northbound near Exit 13.
An open container was found inside of the vehicle, said the report.

RENNERT Someone robbed B&G Gas at 9556 Rennert Road on Monday.
According to a sheriffs report, the culprit backed a vehicle into a glass side door at about 2:10 a.m. and stole a cash register.
The burglar got away with about $280 and caused about $1,500 in damage, the report said.
