Indian Mothers sponsor events
SHANNON - The fifth annual American Indian Mothers' Sunrise Festival and Strawberry Ceremony will be held beginning at 7 p.m. at the AIM building on Friday.
The cost for the fashion show and dinner is $25 for single tickets, $50 for a couple, $300 for a corporate table that seats six and $500 for corporate tables that seats 10.
The cost for the concert, which features Jana, is $15.
The free strawberry ceremony will be held at 6 a.m. at the AIM building on Saturday. A Circle of Life Walk For Health will follow the ceremony.

Center will host Crawfish Boil
LUMBERTON - The Southeastern Regional Agricultural Center/Farmers Market will host its annual Crawfish Boil from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Crawfish will be sold for $4 per pound uncooked or $5 per pound cooked and with Cajun seasoning. There will be a limit of 40 pounds per person.

Tribal council will meet Thursday
PEMBROKE - The Lumbee Tribal Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Regional Center at COMtech park on N.C. 711.
The public is invited.

Lumber Bridge sets budget hearing
LUMBER BRIDGE - The town of Lumber Bridge will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2006-2007 budget at the town hall at 7:30 p.m. on June 5.
A copy of the budget is on file at the clerk's office.
