DUBLIN — The Dublin Peanut Festival pageant will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 at Dublin School.

Divisions are: Tiny Miss, ages 3 to 5; Little Miss, ages 6 to 9; Junior Miss, ages 10 to 12; Princess, ages 13 to 16; and Queen, ages 17 to 22. The entry fee is $75 and the queen will win a $1,000 scholarship. The deadline to sign up is Aug. 21.

FAIRMONT — Carver Rashad Campbell, an alumnus of Fairmont High School, was recently commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

He completed the Army ROTC Leader Development Assessment Course at Virginia State University. He is a member of Antioch Baptist Church and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He is stationed at Fort Lee in Virginia.

Campbell is the son of Manthia T. Campbell, the late Carver Durham, and Robert Thompson Jr.
