June Mullis Roper, of Wilmington, died Saturday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Winter Park Baptist Church, the Rev. Michael Tutterow and Dr. Doris Walters officiating.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Truelight Church cemetery, in Mint Hill, Dr. Doris Walters officiating.
Roper was born on April 30, 1913, in Mint Hill, to the late Annie Mungo and Martin Luther Mullis.
She was a member of Winter Park Baptist Church. She was also a bridal consultant and an Avon representative for 30 years.
Roper was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two sisters, Catherine Evans and Zeta Porter, both of Mint Hill; two daughters, Frances Roper Lamb and her husband, Allen, both of Lumberton and Wrightsville Beach, and Phyllis R. Dabbs and her husband, John, both of Rockingham; two granddaughters, Erica Lamb Mearns and her husband, John, both of Wilmington, and Blair Squires Smith and her husband, Tim, both of Norwood; a grandson, Ray Squires and his wife, Karen, both of Memphis, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 today at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel in Wilmington.
