CAMDEN, N.J. Campbell Soup Company, with a manufacturing plant in Maxton, recently announced that the board of directors has approved a 10 percent increase in its quarterly dividend to 27.5 cents per share from 25 cents per share, effective in the second quarter of fiscal year 2010.
The dividend is payable on Feb. 1, 2010, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 30.
This marks the sixth consecutive year weve increased our dividend and reflects our confidence in the long-term growth prospects of Campbell, as well as our ongoing commitment to creating shareowner value, said Douglas R. Conant, Campbells president and CEO.

Two Robeson County women have been recognized among the Top 25 Achievers of Celebrating Home, a home products company based in Marshall, Texas.
Kirsten Locklear, Lumberton resident and designer, was honored for personal recruiting for the month of September.
Latonia Graham, Pembroke resident and designer, was also honored for personal recruiting for September.
Meanwhile, Denise Britt of St. Pauls was recently promoted to star designer with the company. She earned the promotion for recruitment efforts, which increased the designer team serving the St. Pauls area.
