Lumberton kicks Purnell Swett
LUMBERTON - A couple of positives came out of the Lumberton High boys' soccer team's victory over county rival Purnell Swett on Tuesday.
The first was a 10-0 victory over the Rams, which feature multi-goal games by Jake Moore, Chris Prevatte and Chase Johnson. The Pirates (8-10-1, 6-5 Two Rivers) also earned a state 4-A playoff berth with the win, providing one of the few highlights for a up-and-down season for coach Kenny Simmons' team.
Moore led the Pirates with three goals. Prevatte and Johnson each had two goals. Tripp Livington, Williams Britt and Kyle Kenney also finished with goals for Lumberton.

Defensively, Franklin Campbell had five tackles, including two sacks, for Fairgove. David Jackson, Leontre Graham and Ricky McNeill also had sacks for the Bears.
