LUMBERTON Ryan Gregory Oxendine, 23, of 1731 U.S. 74 West, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury.
He was placed in the Robeson County jail under a $5,000 bond.
According to a sheriffs report, Janet Hunt told deputies that Oxendine shot her boyfriend, Sampson Locklear, 30, of U.S. 74 West, in the leg. Locklear was taken to Southeastern Regional Medical Center and is in good condition.

MAXTON Ronnie Chavis, 50, of N.C. 71 North, reported on Tuesday that his green 1994 Ford Explorer valued at $3,500 had been stolen, according to a sheriffs report.

SHANNON Charles Carr, 22, of Rennert Road, reported on Tuesday that someone entered his home and stole a $400 PlayStation, a $500 laptop computer, a $400 shotgun and a $300 rifle, according to a sheriffs report.
Damage to a door and window was $350.

ST. PAULS Tenita Spearman, 23, Applewood Road, reported on Tuesday that her light-colored, 2005 Hyundai Sonata valued at $6,000 had been stolen, according to a sheriffs report.

RED SPRINGS Theodore McCall, 69, of N.C. 710 North, reported on Tuesday that someone broke into his residence and stole a $400 TV, $400 chain saw and $400 table saw, according to a sheriffs report.

LUMBERTON Nancy Bethea, 33, of Branch Street, reported on Monday that someone pried open a window and entered her residence.
A $400 32-inch flatscreen TV and a $150 digital camera were stolen, according to a police report.
