Drug agents arrest three men
SHANNON - Sheriff's drug agents arrested three men during a traffic stop Saturday and charged them with selling cocaine.
The stop came after the agents saw a pill bottle containing crack cocaine fly out of the window of a vehicle traveling on Nantucket Drive, according to a sheriff's report.
Jason Cory Locklear, Breslin Currie and Brian Simpson with each charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Locklear, 23, of 43 Hawk Drive, Shannon, and Simpson, 27, of 48 Wisdom Drive, Rennert, were each jailed under a $1,500 bond. Currie was also charged with misdemeanor failure to pay child support and jailed under a $8,500 bond.

Man suffers two gunshot wounds
LUMBERTON - Josh James Sirmans was reportedly shot in the side and arm, a sheriff's report said.
Sirmans, 26, of Nealy Avenue, said he was shot Friday about 9 p.m. when he was on Bollinger Avenue. According to a sheriff's report, Sirmans suffered a collapsed lung and a broken arm and was treated at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Cocaine seizure leads to arrest
SHANNON - A sheriff's deputy arrested a Shannon man Friday after officers seized cocaine, a sheriff's report said.
Sheriff's agents charged Anthony Brian Chavis, 21, of 205 Alliville Lane, with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana and misdemeanor resist, delay and obstruct an officer.
Chavis was jailed under a $3,000 bond.

Man reports he was beaten, robbed
FAIRMONT - Someone struck a Fairmont man on the head with wooden board and stole his wallet Sunday night, according to a sheriff's report.
Elis Rivera, 67, of Sand Rock Road, said he was beaten unconscious near a barn on Sand Rock Road.

Man charged with possession at jail
LUMBERTON - A sheriff's deputy arrested Adrian Terron Currie on Thursday and charged him with felony possession of 10 grams of marijuana at the jail, a sheriff's report said.
Currie, 22, of 5148 Regan Church Road, was charged with possession of a controlled substance at a jail, a sheriff's report said. He was jailed under a $5,000 bond.

Detective makes felony arrest
FAIRMONT - Detective Dru Martin arrested a Fairmont man Saturday and charged him with felony possession of stolen goods, a sheriff's report said.
Wilbert Lloyd Deal, 27, of 819 Pleasant Hope Church Road, was jailed under a $5,000 bond.

Speaker worth $300 reported stolen
FAIRMONT - Thurman Mitchell reported that a $300 speaker was stolen from the First Baptist Church of McDonald on Friday, a sheriff's report said.
There was no sign of a break-in at the church on Boyce Road.
