Carrie Mae Oxendine, 84, of 2573 Fairgrove Road, died May 19, 2005, at Dial's Family Care.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church, the Revs. Johnny Locklear, Chester Chavis and Charles Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Oxendine was born in Robeson County on Oct. 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Redman Oxendine and Dillie Ann Oxendine.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Freddie Ray Oxendine.
Surviving are four sons, Stacy Lee Oxendine of Stanley, John D. “J.D.” Oxendine of Matthews, Jerry Ronald Oxendine of Fairmont and Billy Dean Oxendine of Pembroke; three daughters, Dillie Anne Chavis of Pembroke, Ella Faye Oxendine of Fairmont and Sarah Lois Chavis of Melbourne, Fla.; a brother, Elmer Hammonds of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
