James Ray Hammonds, 48, of 554 Rachel St., died March 20, 2006, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Redeemed Assembly of God, the Revs. Jim Butler and Wanda Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, Shane Hammonds of Pembroke; a daughter, Rhonda Lynn Jones of Pembroke; a stepson, Cagney Freeman of Pembroke; eight sisters, Judy Hammonds, Mary Hardin, Sylvia Mejia, Mary Ann Williamson and Helen Wiggins, all of Lumberton, Sarah Jacobs, Lizzie Mae Oxendine and Brenda Pate, all of St. Pauls; a brother, James Locklear of Maxton; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
