Church vandalized, television stolen
ROWLAND - Someone caused damage and stole a television from Beulah Baptist Church at 1942 Sampson Road on Tuesday, according to a sheriff's report.
Deputies found that someone had entered through a back window and vandalized the sanctuary, the report said.

Deputies search for 2 robbers
LUMBERTON - Deputies are looking for two men who beat a man and took his wallet, a sheriff's report said.
Barrera Condido, 27, of Resa Loop, said he was walking in front of his residence when the men jumped him and hit him in his chest before running off with his wallet and $800 that was inside, the report said.

Pit bull puppies stolen from home
LUMBERTON - Four pit bull puppies valued at a total of $1,000 were stolen out of their enclosure on Monday, a sheriff's report said.
According to the report, Ginger Jones, 30, of 189 Sparrow Lane, said the puppies were taken between 6:30 and 11 a.m.

Man: Hitchhiker beat him, stole car
LUMBERTON - A Lumberton man reported Wednesday that a hitchhiker beat him with a pistol and stole his car, according to a sheriff's report.
Ricky Prevatte, 38, of Dewey Drive, said he was assaulted after he drove the man to Norment Road, the report said. The hitchhiker took Prevatte's 1987 Chrysler LeBaron, the report said.
