William Herbert King, 77, of 1605 Robert Bessie Road, Lumberton, died Tuesday at the home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in St. Pauls, the Rev. Jimmy L. Gilchrist officiating. Burial will follow at Kings Cemetery in St. Pauls.
He was a farmer, landscaper, and installer of septic tanks..
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Rozier King; three sons, Billy Ray King and Frankie L. King, both of Lumberton, and William H. King Jr. of Greensboro; four daughters, Cheyenn King Brown of the home, Barbara King Miller of Lumberton, Dottie C. King of Charlotte, and Effie Pone Hill of Hope Mills; three brothers, Charles King of East Orange, N.J., Henry King of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Bernice King of Black Mountain; a sister, Lucy Kemp McDonald of St. Pauls; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 6 p.m. at McKoy & Sons Mortuary in St. Pauls.
