Mantha McMillian, 73, of 248 Jane Road, died Nov.1, 2008, at home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church, the Revs. John L. Locklear, Jerry Locklear and Jimmy D. Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
McMillan was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Robeson County to the late Will F. Locklear and Dora Brooks Locklear. McMillan was an active member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all.
McMillan was preceded in death by her husband, Harvie McMillian.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffery McMillan and his wife JoAnn, both of Maxton, and Wayne McMillan of the home; five daughters, Deloris McMillan of Pembroke, Joyce M. Chavis and her husband Narison, both of Lumberton, Harleen Locklear and her husband Donnie Locklear Jr, both of Pembroke, Debra M. Patrick and her husband Charlie, both of Bolton, and Wanda Hammonds and her husband the Rev. Jimmy D. Hammonds, both of Lumberton; a sister, Georgia B. Locklear of Maxton; a brother, Mitchell Locklear of Maxton; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Revels Funeral Home of Pembroke.
