Wayne Jacobs, 50, formerly of Lumberton, died Nov. 12, 2008, at UniHealth Post-Acute Care of Durham.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton, the Rev. Roosevelt Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
Jacobs was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Worley, a sister, June Worley, and a son, Shawn Stanley, all of Tabor City.
Surviving are his mother, Virginia Locklear of Lumberton; four sisters, Emma “Moosie” Maynor of the home, Beverly Jacobs Locklear, Marlene “Pumkin” Locklear, both of Lumberton, and Wanda Phillips of Tabor City; two brothers, Mitchell Jacobs of Parkton and Terry Jacobs of Lumberton; eight nieces; six nephews; four great-nephews; three great-nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family, c/o his mother, Virginia Locklear, 220 Glisson St., Abbott’s Mobile Home Park, Lot 4, Lumberton, N.C., 28358.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
