South Robeson boys and girls cagers win

South Robeson 48,
Purnell Swett 21
PEMBROKE - Led by Crystal Davis's 16 points and Nicorie Sinclair's 12 points, the Mustangs girls’ basketball team defeated Purnell Swett on Tuesday.
In a low scoring contest that saw Swett leading 12-8 at halftime, the game was broken open by South Robeson in the fourth quarter as coach Lula Ratley’s team scored 25 of its 48 points.
“The game started real slow,” South Robeson jayvee boys coach Larry Inman said. “But South Robeson really picked it up in the fourth quarter.”

South Robeson 64,
Purnell Swett 33
In Pembroke, three Mustangs scored in double figures as South Robeson beat Purnell Swett by 31 points on Tuesday. For the Rams, Tyray Belin had 13 points, Jordan Hunt had 10 points and Cory Thompson 13 points.

Fairmont 54,
Triton 36
In Fairmont, the Fairmont girls basketball team beat South Columbus on Tuesday at Fairmont, 54-36.
Fairmont, 1-3, was led in scoring by Shaniah Powell, who had a game-high 27 points. Also for Fairmont, Stephanie Powell had 11 points.
South Columbus, 0-2, was led by Amanda Dowe's 12 points.
Fairmont's next game is Thursday at South Columbus.

Red Springs 41,
Triton 25 (girls)
In Red Springs, the Red Springs girls team beat Triton, 41-25, behind Amanda Sinclair's 11 points.
Triton was led by Jasmoin Hicks' 11.
With the win, Red Springs raises its record to 6-2, while Triton falls to 1-5.
Red Springs' next game is Friday at home against South Robeson.

Triton 53 (boys)
In red Springs, the Red Springs boys basketball team beat Triton 60-53 at Red Springs on Tuesday.
The Red Devils, 3-5, were led in scoring by Glenn patterson Jr.'s 18 and Sameer Jackson's 17.
Triton, 2-3, was led in scoring by Aaron Coats' 15.
Red Springs' next game Friday at home against South Robeson.
