The Fourth of July holiday falls on Tuesday, and so will disrupt or rearrange normal working schedules, because, hey, everybody loves to celebrate America!
The grills and the fireworks will be fired up, but most offices and businesses will be closed down in observance of the 230th birthday of the United States.
The St. Pauls Town Office and the Department of Motor Vehicles’ License Plate agency will both be closed the Fourth.
The Town’s Public Works Department will pick up garbage on Wednesday, July 5 instead of Tuesday.
The Annie H. McEachern Public Library will be closed on July 3rd and 4th, as will the other branches of the Robeson County Public Library system.
The Robeson County Landfill will be closed on Tuesday.
The Post Office will be closed on July 4th.
Most banks will also be closed on the nation’s birthday, including BB&T, First Bank and Lumbee Guaranty.
If you can’t go to work or conduct business, relax and enjoy the many local observances of the Fourth of July, including Parkton, Rennert, Pembroke, Lumberton’s great fireworks, and Fort Bragg.
