Samuel R. Noble, 82, of Lumberton, passed away Oct. 14, 2010, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Lumberton, Drs. Wayne Tyner and David Elks officiating. He will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
Noble was born May 5, 1928, in Bladen County to the late John Clayton Noble and Grace Martin Noble.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a brother, Robert Noble.
Left to cherish his memories are wife Jean Bullard Noble; daughter, Susan Noble; sons, Sam Noble Jr. and wife Ginger and Les Noble and wife Kim; brother, George A. Noble of Salisbury; five grandchildren, Matthew Stephens, Mary Lindsay Noble, Jonathan Noble, Sarah Noble, and Samuel Noble; several nieces; and several nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Biggs Funeral Home in Lumberton.
