Kermit Theodore Barnhill, 78, of 536 Harrington Road, died April 3, 2006, at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, S.C.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Oakdale Baptist Church, the Revs. Tom Leonard and Horace Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elease Bass Barnhill; and his parents, Daniel and Maude Barnhill.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are a son, Wrenn Barnhill of the home; a daughter, Robyn Rhyne and her husband, James, of Longs, S.C.; a brother, D.C. Barnhill of Mullins, S.C.; two sisters, Earline Drew of Floyds, S.C., and Bernice Prince of Fair Bluff; five grandchildren, Lauren Barnhill, Colton Barnhill, Skyler Barnhill, Dalys Rhyne and Aleigh Rhyne.
Memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church, 1264 Bass Road, Fairmont, N.C. 28340.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont and other times at the home of Dolly Kissam, 533 Harrington Road, Fairmont.
