Charles “Coot” Linwood Faulk Sr., 69, of Laurinburg, passed away Feb.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Floyd Cemetery in
Fairmont, the Rev. C.F. McDowell officiating.
Faulk was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Robeson County. He was the son of
Gladys F. Faulk and the late Walter G. Faulk. He was a loving and
devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a
dedicated employee of Cooper Petroleum Incorporated, retiring after 23
years of service.He was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Laurinburg.He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Carolyn Britt Faulk of the home; a
son, Charles “Linwood” Faulk Jr., and wife Tiffany, both of Kingston,
Tenn.; daughters, Jackie M. Thomas and husband Jeff, both of Sanford,
Tracy M. Duffy and husband David, both of Florence, S.C.; his mother,
Gladys F. Faulk of Lumberton; brothers, Bruce Faulk and wife Elsie,
both of Fairmont, Bobby Faulk of Fairmont, Lawrence Ray Purvis and
wife Mary Lou, both of Charlotte; a sister, Sara Lynn Dean and husband
Spencer, both of Little River; five grandchildren, Tristan Duffy,
Allen Duffy, Justin Thomas, Darrian Thomas, Dava Thomas; and many
nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Richard Boles
