Timothy Jacobs, 41, of 2417 Singletary Church Road, went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2007.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Smyrna Baptist Church, the Revs. Carl Pevia and Mitchell Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayside Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Timmie was born in Robeson County on Nov. 18, 1965. He was a 1984 graduate of Littlefield High School, where he was active in the sports of basketball and football. Timmie was employed at Graphics Packaging at the time he became ill. He loved to camp, hunt, fish and coach Little League. He was a member of Wet Foot Deer Hunting Club.
As he battled cancer, he spent his last days surrounded by family and friends at Southeastern Hospice House.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Jacobs; two loving children, Chasity and Randall Jacobs; his parents, R.C. and Lummie Jacobs; a brother, Sammy Jacobs and his fiancee Jamie Smith; a sister, Mary Ann Jacobs; his father and mother-in-law, Tommy and Judy Lockee; a brother-in-law, Chris Lockee; a sister-in-law, Orenda Lockee; a niece, Alexia; two nephews, Jaylon and Shikoba; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Revels Funeral Home Lumberton.
