Lumberton blows by Overhills

SPRINGLAKE — Entering Thursdays game against Overhills, the Lumberton Pirates had scored three touchdowns this season.
At halftime of its 68-45 win over the Jaguars, Lumberton had six touchdowns doubling its season total.
Sophomore running back Larry Parker rushed for a career-high 223 yards on 24 carries and added four touchdowns.
The Pirates rolled up 441 rushing yards and 500 yards of total offense.
MauriceLewis rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns, including a 46-yard scamper in the fourth quarter.
Lumberton (2-1) will host Fairmont on Friday.

Pinecrest shuts down St. Pauls

SOUTHERNPINES– St. Pauls was limited to only 165 yards of total offense in its 42-6 loss at Pinecrest on Thursday.
Running backPhillip Strickland led the Bulldogs with 73 rushing yards on 12 carries.
