LUMBERTON The National Group of Companies National Erectors, National Rebar Fabrication, National Reinforcing Systems and Great Southeast Forming recently presented a check to The Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina.
The $15,000 check came from the companies more than 350 employees.
During the Christmas 2009 holiday, company employees were asked by General Manager Mark Smith to donate the equivalent of one hour or more of their wages.
Cash and payroll deductions poured in, company officials said.
Accepting the check was Gary Faircloth, the president of The Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina, at Lake Waccamaw.
The presentation was made Feb. 4 at National Erectors corporate headquarters at 2373 Kenric Road in Lumberton.
