Sarah Martha “Red” Davis Breeden, 94, of 6021 Xway Road, Gibson, died Sunday at her home.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alloway Cemetery, the Revs. Harold Salmon and Henrietta Carmichael officiating.
Breeden was formerly active in First Presbyterian Church of Maxton, and the Presbyterian Women's Club.
She was a former employee of Red Springs Telephone Company.
Breeden was preceded in death by her husband Jim Breeden; and by three sons, James Davis Breeden, William C. Breeden and Richard Breeden.
Surviving are a son, David Breeden and his wife Jackie, both of Ocean Isle; six daughters, Joanne B. Craven and her husband Bill, both of Gibson, Linda B. McLendon and her husband Mackie, and Sandy B. McKenzie and her husband Jim, all of Laurinburg, Toni B. Bruce and her husband Kenneth, both of Maxton, Jane B. Williford of Ocean Isle, and Anita B. Stanton and her husband Ben, both of Cherryville; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; and a nephew.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Crumpler Funeral Home.
