Thelma Bell Cummings, 59, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Bethel Hill Baptist Church.
The Revs. Jimmy Hammonds and Harvey Locklear officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She was born in Robeson County on Feb. 2, 1949, the daughter of Ada Mae Lowery Cummings and the late Amos Bell.
Mrs. Cummings was a member of the Bethel Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, William Earl Cummings of the home.
Her mother, Ada Mae Bell; three brothers, Amos Bell Jr., Warren O. Bell and Evander Locklear, all of Lumberton.
Two sisters, Shirley Cummings of Red Springs and Linda Faye Locklear of St. Pauls; a very special friend, Buddy Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
