Jeremy Lee Locklear, 26, of 9247 Red Springs Road, died Aug. 31, 2008, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church, with the Revs. Redell Hammonds, Glenn Burnette, and Johnny Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Locklear was born on Sept. 4, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Aniah C. Locklear, a companion, Christa Canady of Lumberton; a grandfather, Braddy Locklear and stepgrandmother Renice Locklear, both of the home; seven brothers, Brad Locklear, Karl Jones, Antonio Locklear and Jamie Jones, all of the home, Chris Caulder of Fayetteville, Shawn Pierce of Lumberton and Kenston Breeden; six sisters, Brandy Jacobs of the home, Shannon McDuffie of Greenville, Sierra Q. Locklear, Mary Elizabeth Roberts and Margina Jones, all of Maxton, and Weader M. Cummings of Lumberton; his father, Dennis Locklear and stepmother Susan Locklear, both of Red Springs; three uncles, Eric S. Locklear, Braddy Jr. Locklear and Wayne K. Locklear, all of Red Springs; his biological mother, Glenda Gale Locklear of Antioch; his mother, Mary Edna Locklear; a grandmother, Aletha Locklear of Red Springs; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Heritage Funeral Home.
