MAXTON — Gene McLaughlin Jr., a certified physician assistant, will join Southeastern Medical Clinic Maxton, an affiliate of Southeastern Regional Medical Center, effective May 1.
McLaughlin will join Dr. N. Glory Ugah and Certified Physician Assistant Dawn Langley at the clinic, which is located at 401 Andrew Jackson Highway.
A native of Siler City, McLaughlin completed a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill in 1981 and a bachelor of science degree in medicine from Emory University in 1989. He earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska in 2003.
McLaughlin provided care in the Maxton/Laurinburg area for 19 years prior to joining Southeastern.
Southeastern Medical Clinic Maxton offers complete family practice services as well as diabetic and cardiovascular management, employment screenings and physicals.
