Lunchtime features 'Fantasy Band'
LUMBERTON - The Fantasy Band of Charlotte will perform Friday as part of the annual Lunchtime on the Plaza. The event runs from noon to 1:30 on the downtown plaza.
People can bring lunch or buy $3 bag lunches from the Downtown Lumberton Association.
In case of rain, the event moves into the Carolina Civic Center, but lunch will not be for sale.
The event is sponsored by a grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, and presented by the Lumberton Recreational Department and the Downtown Lumberton Association.

St. Pauls post office hosts program
ST. PAULS - The St. Pauls Post Office will host a customer appreciation program on May 19 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
There will be refreshments and entertainment by Victoria Huggins, the Soundboard Studios classical guitar quartet and the St. Pauls High School Jazz Combo. The post office is on West Broad Street.

Market highlights versatile potato
LUMBERTON - The Southeastern Regional Agricultural Center/Farmers Market will have its annual Potato Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Visitors can sample the versatile Irish potato. Free samples will be available as long as they last.
