Mrs. Frankie P. Dunie, 83, of Lumberton, died March 12, 2006, at GlenFlora.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Biggs Funeral Chapel, the Revs. Kevin Head and Russell T. Cherry Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
Dunie was born April 7, 1922, in Robeson County, a daughter of the late Robert and Dora Davis Pate.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. A Frankie Dunie Day was held to honor her for the faithful service to her church, the Youth department, the N.C. Cancer Institute Circle and the community. She and her late husband, Jacob “Jakie” Dunie, were co-owners of Frankie and Jakie's Children Shop for many years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Pate; and three sisters, Emma Dell Stone, Dot Driscoll and Mildred Pate.
Surviving are three brothers, Rudolph Pate of Pawley's Island, S.C., Elwood Pate and Gene Pate, both of Lumberton; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Biggs Funeral Home.
