LJHS names its best for September
LUMBERTON - Emma Killens and Angelettia Lewis were named Employees of the Month at Lumberton Junior High School for September.
Jordan Hunt and Ashleigh Bond were named Students of the Month. Killens is the school secretary. She has worked 14 years at the school. She has three children.
Lewis teaches eighth grade science. She is in her second year. She has one daughter, Nicole.
Hunt, 12, is a seventh grader. He is the son of Alfa and Roger Hunt. Lewis, 13, is in the eighth grade. She is the daughter of Robert and Danielle Bond.

Southside sets EOG Night
ROWLAND - Southside-Ashpole Elementary has scheduled EOG Night for 7 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria.

St. Pauls High sets PTA meeting
ST. PAULS - St. Pauls High School has scheduled a PTA meeting for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Senior Parent Pirate Night set
LUMBERTON - Lumberton High School has scheduled its Senior Parent Pirate Night for 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium.
There will be a Power Point presentation and information about graduation, scholarships, financial aid and graduation fashion show. Door prizes will be given away. All parents are encouraged to attend.

Fairgrove PTA meeting Thursday
FAIRMONT - Fairgrove Middle School has scheduled an open house and PTA meeting for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Door prizes will be given away.

Green Grove names ‘Positive Pandas'
FAIRMONT - Green Grove Elementary recently named its &#8220Positive Pandas” for this past week.
They were recognized for their behavior at school and on the bus.
Named ‘Postive Pandas' were:
Kindergarten: William Mayers, Kyeah Lewis and Zachary Locklear.
First grade: Darren Bryant, Tyee Sampson and Jamie Hunt.
Second grade: Sierra McNeill, Bradley Chuang and Karisma Deas.
Third grade: Megan Britt, Christian Denning and Laqueesha Stephens.
