PEMBROKE — The Pembroke Area Chamber of Commerce will hold an After Hours Mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday a the Pembroke Wellness Center at 773 Old Main Road.

Participants are encouraged to enjoy refreshments and fellowship, and to bring business cards and meet other chamber members and guests. Members are encouraged to invite nonmembers.

LUMBERTON — Linda Metzger, sales associate at Century 21 The Real Estate Center, recently earned the Century 21 System’s Centurion Producer Award following her 2010 sales success, according to broker/owner Elliott Williamson.

The Centurion Producer award honors Century 21 System sales associates who earn $190,000 in sales production or 60 closed transaction sides within a calendar year.

“Linda is a leader and innovator in delivering powerful home buying and selling choices to her clients because she knows the community she serves,” Williamson said.

Metzger has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry.

LUMBERTON — Biggs Park Mall plays host to a Collectibles Show from April 29 through May 1. The show will include comic books, toys, sports cards, antiques and more.

PEMBROKE — Is your closet stuffed with professional clothes you no longer wear? Help ease the pockets of job hunters and donate to the UNCP Career Peers for its Career Closet Yard Sale. The event is Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the University Center lawn. Proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

The Career Peers are seeking donations of new or gently used business suits, jackets, slacks, skirts, collared shirts, dresses, shoes, and professional accessories. Collection boxes can be found in UNCP academic buildings and in The Career Center. To schedule a pick-up, call (910) 521-6270. Donations will be accepted until Tuesday.

WHITEVILLE — A Job Seekers Boot Camp will be hosted by U.S. Rep. Mike McIntyre on April 11 at Southeastern Community College, T Building, at 4564 Chadbourn Highway, in Whiteville.

The event is free for residents of District 7. Register by visiting McIntyre’s website at http://mcintyre.house.gov. On-site registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This workshop is designed to give job seekers the tools they need to land a good job. Participants will select and attend mini-seminars lead by career counselors, business leaders, humane resource managers, and career coaches. Specialists will be on hand to provide practical advice on resume improvement, interviewing, networking, and job seeking. Participants will have access to one-on-one resume counseling.

LUMBERTON — Hospitality training will be held at the Cooperative Extension Center on N.C. 72 West on April 11 and April 14.

The training, which lasts from 1 to 4:30 p.m. each day, will teach business owners and managers, front-line employees and those interested in promoting tourism in Robeson County how to provide quality customer service.
