LUMBERTON A reenactment of the march of Civil War Gen. William Sherman through Robeson County will be Saturday.
The day starts at 11 a.m. when the Civil War camp opens on the grounds of the Robeson County History Museum at 101 S. Elm St. Visitors can talk with reenactors about camp life, their weapons and war.
At 2:30 p.m., people posing as Confederate and Union soldiers will reenact the raid.
The day will close with an historical talk at 4 p.m. in the museums main gallery. Blake Tyner, museum curator, will speak about Shermans time in Robeson County.

SADDLETREE The Saddletree Volunteer Fire Department will hold a plate sale beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at the fire department to raise money for its operations.
A barbecue or chicken plate will be $6; combination plate, $7; sandwich, $3.50; barbecue for $5 a pound; drinks, 50 cents.

LUMBERTON The Mill Prong House, a Federalist-style Scottish heritage house built around 1795, will be open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
It is located between Red Springs and Raeford.
