Lorene Locklear Mam Nobles, 94, of 128 Oxendine Circle, Lumberton, was born
Oct. 14, 1914, and entered eternal rest on Aug. 13, 2009, at
Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Burnt Swamp Baptist Church, the
Revs. Keith Long, Doug Campbell, Kenneth Locklear and Tommy Gist
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Nobles; her son,
Reginald Locklear; a brother, Luther Locklear; five sisters, Maudie
Ella Lily Maynor, Letha Ann Chavis, Nora BJ Chavis, Clair Pet
Holmes, and Orella Binger Hunt.
Lorene is survived by four daughters, Mavis Sampson of Pembroke,
Phyllis Queen, Pamela Locklear and Aggie Dale Spaulding, all of
Lumberton; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight
great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Revels Funeral
Home in Lumberton.
