Dolphus Lee ”Buddy“ Johnson, 74, of 6008 U.S. 70, Lot 2, died Oct. 6, 2005, at Durham Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Revels Funeral Home Chapel in Lumberton, the Revs. Bill Lawrence and Roosevelt Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Oxendine Cemetery on Larce Road, Pembroke.
Johnson was born in Alabama on Aug. 8, 1932. He worked as a security guard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cassie May Johnson; and a sister, Pearl Best.
Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Marie Johnson of Pembroke; a son, Marvin Cribb of Durham; four grandchildren; J.R. Johnson and his wife, Carrie, of Wagram, Casey Lee Johnson of Iowa, Allen Ray Cribb and Cassie Cribb, both of Durham; four great-grandchildren; Shelby Marie Tharp, Kanikki Lance Johnson, T.J. Cummings, all of Wagram and Nevaeh Johnson of Iowa; and two nieces, Shirley Bryant and Linda Smith, both of Durham.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Revels Funeral Home in Lumberton.
