Join us for some education, sharing, and fun at the monthly meeting of the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group on Wednesday, December 19, at 11 a.m. at the O. P. Owens Agriculture Center, Highway 72 West, Lumberton.
According to Christy Strickland, family and consumer sciences Extension agent with the Robeson County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, the support group meets on a monthly basis and is open to all grandparents raising their grandchildren. This is an opportunity for grandparents to meet others who are dealing with the same issues and triumphs that they face.
The Robeson County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service and the Family Caregiver Support Program at the Lumber River Council of Government sponsor the support group and provide lunch following the meeting for those who attend. For more information, please contact Christy Strickland at the Cooperative Extension Service at 671-3276. Individuals with disabilities and/or special needs desiring accommodations to participate in this activity should contact Christy at the Cooperative Extension Service by calling 910-671-3276 by December 13.
