An Understanding the Endtime Prophecy Bible study is being held on Friday evenings at 7:30 in the Union Chapel Community Building.

The ministerial staff of True Believers Church of The Almighty God will have an evangelistic service today at 7:30 p.m.
Bishop Larry Williamson and the congregation of New Life Church of Chadbourn will lead the service.

The Bryant Swamp Baptist Church family will be celebrating the service of their pastor, Dr. J. Gentile Everett, and his wife through Sunday
Services will be held each evening at 7 through June 3. A Pastor's Anniversary Banquet will be held June 4 at 6 p.m. Dr. Otis Pelham will be the speaker. The Rev. Dorothy Ward of Evergreen will sing.

A Little Miss and Junior Miss Sweetheart Pageant will be held June 5 at 4 p.m. at Beauty Spot United Methodist Church.
Five Little Misses and Junior Misses will compete for the title.

The New Beginning Church of Lumberton will celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pastor O.E. Pelham on June 5 at 11 a.m.

The Dorcus Missionaries of Pentecostal United Holy Church will observe their 100 Women in White Women's Day on June 5 at 5 p.m.

MUSIC

Derwin Hinson, a gospel music “one man band,” will be in concert at Baltimore Baptist Church on June 4 at 7 p.m.
A love offering will be accepted.

The 42nd Senior Nurse's Aide anniversary celebration program will be June 5 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 504 W. Second St., Lumberton.
A gospel music program will feature: The Gospel Travelers of Lancaster, S.C.; The Royal Gospel Singers of Dillon, S.C.; Brianna Goodwin of Lumberton; Charles Cook and The Voices of Maxton and others.

Mt. Elim Baptist Church will host The Lumber River Quartet at 6 p.m. on June 12.

Reedy Branch Baptist Church's Quarterly Singing will be June 12 at 6 p.m.

PLATE SALES

Grace Outreach Ministries will have a barbecue and chicken plate sale on June 4 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Plates are $6 each and will include potato salad, a choice of string beans or baked beans, slaw, rolls and cake.
The church will also have a yard sale. The plate sale will be at the pastor's house at 810 Happy Hill Rd., Fairmont.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

St. James AME Zion Church, Red Springs, will have Vacation Bible School June 1-3 at 6 p.m.

Zion's Tabernacle Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 5-9 from 6 until 9 p.m.
Classes will be available for ages 3 and up. The church is at 3496 Tar Heel Road.

North Lumberton Baptist Church will have registration for Vacation Bible School on June 5 at 6 p.m. Bible school will be held June 6-8 from 6 until 9 p.m.
The church is at 1901 Carthage Road.

Mt. Elim Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School will be June 5 from 6 until 8 p.m., and June 6-9 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.
The church is at 645 N. Creek Rd., Orrum.

West Lumberton Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School, featuring Puppet Love from Florence, S.C., will be held June 5-8 from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
The church is at 2320 West 5th Street.

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School will be June 6-10 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.
The church is on U.S. 301 North, Lumberton.

Baltimore Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 13-17 from 6:30 until 9 p.m.
Classes will be available ages 2 and up. A nursery will be provided for people attending the adult class.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 3698 Pine Log Rd., Lumberton, has a food bank stocked with non-perishable items.
People who have lost their jobs because their places of unemployment have closed, and others experiencing hardships such as sickness or a death in the family may contact the church at 739-0360 for help.

Food commodities for Lumbee Tribe Districts 4 and 5 will be available June 2 from 2 until 5 p.m.
The food will be distributed out of the Wakulla Community Building, beside Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church.
