The end of the year approaches, but it seems the end of the library’s fund drive never will.
Two anonymous donations last week did boost the total donated thus far to $12,457.46.That is a great sum, but still about $2,300 short of the absolute minimum needed to sustain the library’s operations for next year.
The library fell several hundred dollars short of its goal last year, so it cannot afford to do so again this year. It has to raise the amount needed to complete its budget, or, guess what, something will have to be trimmed. Hours?
The end of the year means that the time when you can make a tax deductible donation to show up on your income tax report for next year is also rapidly approaching.
Won’t you please make a donation of any size and ease the bite that Uncle Sam will make next April 15?
To make a donation, drop by the library at 221 W. Broad Street, or mail it to that same address, or call the library at 865-4002. Thank you.
