A medical ministry team for Aurora, Philippines, is seeking donated eye glasses.
The trip is being planned for Feb. 24 through March 10.
Organizers are asking churches to collect old eyeglasses for distribution on the trip. Donations may be dropped off at the Burnt Swamp Association, 450 Prospect Rd., Pembroke, or Pembroke Optometric Clinic, 204 Union Chapel Rd.

First Orrum Missionary Baptist Church will host Black History Month programs on Sunday, Feb. 27. Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m. and worship will be at 11.
Dinner will be served following the worship service. Everyone is asked to dress in “old timey” clothes on that day. Y.D. Thompson is the pastor.

The Pentecostals of Lumberton will present a marriage enrichment seminar Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 26 at 9 a.m.
The seminary will be led by the Rev. and Mrs. L.E. Logue of Wilmington.
The church is 1011 Carthage Rd., Lumberton.

The Carolina Youth Action Association is sponsoring “The Crucifixion of Christ” quiz bowl on March 20 at 4 p.m. at the Southside Alumni Building on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Rowland.
First, second and third prizes will be awarded. Questions will come from the King James Version of the Gospel of Matthew, chapters 26-28.

MUSIC

A Gospel Reunion on March 5 at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke's Givens Performing Arts Center will feature: The New Hinsons, Ronnie Hinson, Charles Johnson and The Revivers, Carla and Redemption Ministries, The Sycamore Singers and the Rev. James R. Hunt.
The program will begin at 6 p.m.
A pre-show program beginning at 5 p.m. will feature The Sheetrock Drummers of Peterson Elementary School and 9-year-old Carissa Locklear.
Tickets are available at the Givens Performing Arts Center and area Christian bookstores.
