Red Springs native and 2004 graduate of Red Springs High School, Brandon Willoughby has joined the staff of The Red Springs Citizen.
He will be working part-time in production layout and website design, along with various other duties.
Mr. Willoughby is presently a full-time student at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, North Carolina, and will graduate in the fall of 2006 with a degree in Broadcast Production Technology.
After obtaining his degree, Willoughby looks to start a videograpy business, along with his work at The Red Springs Citizen.
“The job will be interesting,” said Willoughby. “I will be manipulating, creating, and designing the newspaper ads and stories, along with resizing and cropping photos.”
Willoughby started his new job on Tuesday, June 6.
“We all look forward to Brandon working with us,” said Citizen Editor Mark S. Moses. “He brings to us a great deal of new technological knowledge in the media field so we can continue making the Citizen better and better. We also would like to send along many thanks to Terry Powers, who is leaving us, for a job well done. It’s been a pleasure having Terry work here. She is a terrific person and we send along our best wishes with her future endeavors.”
