FAIRMONT An open house for Fairmont Medical Clinic, an affiliate of Southeastern Regional Medical Center, is set for Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to tour the facility, which is located at 101 North Walnut St. Screenings for diabetes and measurements for weight and body mass index will be offered.
Dr. Donald Morando, physician assistant Kelvin Sampson and family nurse practitioner Aundrea Avila will be present to greet visitors during the event. Refreshments will also be served.

LUMBERTON Southeastern Regional Medical Center will hold an American Red Cross blood drives on Aug. 13 from 7 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the SRMC Assembly Room.
To donate blood a person must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. To schedule an appointment or for information, call 671-5149.

LUMBERTON Free health screenings will be offered on Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton.
Southeastern Regional Medical Centers Community Health Services is sponsoring the screens, which will check total cholesterol/HDL, blood pressure and blood sugar for adults 18 years or older. Height, weight and body mass index will also be measured. People with diabetes will be offered additional HbA1c testing, which shows average blood sugar rates over the last three months.

LUMBERTON Southeastern Lifestyle Center for Fitness and Rehabilitation is offering childrens swim lessons Aug. 17 through Aug. 27 at 4895 Fayetteville Road.
Lessons, which will be held Monday through Thursday, are available for a variety of skill levels and open to children ages 3 and up. Cost is $40 for center members and $50 for non-members.
