Lydia Edna Smith Vest, 90, of Red Springs, died Wednesday at Kingsdale Manor Nursing Facility in Lumberton.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Randolph Browning officiating. Burial will follow at Alloway Cemetery.
Vest was born on May 10, 1913, to the late Lewis and Minerva Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oma Vest, and by a son, Ronald Vest.
Surviving are a son, Vernon Vest and his wife, Eunice, both of Red Springs; a daughter, Janice Ervin and her husband, Bob, both of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Sherry Miller of Lumberton, Derrick Vest of Durham, Wayne Nobles and his wife, Tracy, both of Saratoga, Calif., Rhonda Nobles Thompson and her husband Paul, both of Brown Summit, Eric Nobles and his wife Rhonda, and Alyson Ervin Morketter and her husband David, all of Fayetteville, and Laura Ervin Thompson and her husband Rob, both of Burlington; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 :30 tonight at Crumpler Funeral Home.
