Henry “Hank” Walter Anderson, 82, formerly of Lumberton, died Aug. 6, 2005, at the Carriage Club of Charlotte.
A memorial wiill be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carriage Club of Charlotte, the Rev. John Bryan officiating.
He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in St. Joseph, Mo., to the late Gunnar Anderson and Dora Orestad Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II. He retired from Gerber Children's Wear in production control and after his retirement he worked at Cliffwood Golf Club in Lumberton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Anderson.
Surviving are his wife, Ann L. Anderson; three sons, Walter Anderson of Chicago, Dr. Michael Anderson of Charlotte and Martin Anderson of Tega Cay, S.C.; three grandchildren, Andrew, Mark and Lauren; and two sisters, Anna and Doris, both of Illinois.

The family will receive friends at a reception following the service at the Carriage Club.
