Dorothy Elizabeth Thomas, of Rowland, died May 6, 2006, at Sunbridge Nursing Home in Pembroke.
The funeral will be noon Wednesday at Hilly Branch Baptist Church, Associate Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Rowland. Arrangements by House of Thomas Funeral Home in Dillon, S.C.
Thomas was born in Pittsburgh, the only child of Lena McPhaul and Archie McNeill, but was raised by her grandparents, John and Bell McPhaul, after the death of her mother.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Thomas, and two children, Ronald McNeill and Leroy Jr.
Surviving are three daughters, Vielena McInnis and her husband, James, of Rowland, Helen Thomas-Nicholson of Lumberton and Glinda Ketter of Dillon; a stepdaughter, Olean Williams and her husband, Weldon, of Durham; 13 grandchildren, Lisa Brockman and her husband, Bryant, Martin Adams and Bridgette Miles, all of High Point, Jamerle McInnis and his wife, Stephanie, of Rowland, Cherry Spruill and her husband, Carl, of Dillon, Larry Drake of Smithfield, Zachary Nicholson of Lumberton, Ron and Todd Miles of Dillon, Valeria McInnis, Demetro McInnis and Leron Adams, all of Rowland, and Darren McNeill and his wife, Terri, of Georgia; and four stepgrandchildren, Annette Goldwire and her husband, Bill, of Georgia, Jerome Williams and his wife, Debra, of New Jersey, Mario Williams and Christopher Williams and his wife, Gloria, both of New York.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the church.
