ROWLAND - Two Robeson County men who are convicted felons were arrested Friday and charged with numerous drug crimes after a search of a Rowland home.
According to sheriff's Detectives Paul Pittman and Richie Adams, 42 grams of crack cocaine, several weapons and drug paraphernalia such as scales, bags and boxes were found at Brian Keith Chavis' home at 183 Waterfall Lane on Friday.
Chavis, 24, was charged with trafficking cocaine by possession; trafficking cocaine by manufacturing; and two counts of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine. The charges are all felonies. Chavis was also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chavis, a convicted felon, was also in possession of a stolen .25-caliber weapon, Pittman said. Pittman said Chavis has been convicted previously of accessory after the fact to murder.
His bond was set at $75,000.
Darrell Belin, 34, of 941 Trusswat Drive, Fairmont was also arrested on felony drug charges. Bell, a convicted drug trafficker, was charged with two counts of conspiracy to possess with intent to sell/deliver cocaine.
His bond was set at $5,000.
