LUMBERTON — The Board of Education for the Public Schools of Robeson County tonight is expected to hear the findings of an audit from Julia Kinlaw, a certified public accountant with S. Preston Douglas & Associates.
Also on the agenda is Marcia Edge, who will present the board with the school system’s Comprehensive Needs Assessment, which helps the system in determining needs, examining their nature and causes, and setting priorities for future action.
The assessment is also part of the system’s School Improvement plan, which sets benchmarks for improvements for the coming year.
LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Republican Party will meet tonight at 6 at the Village Station.
The party’s goal is to hold countywide meetings the second Tuesday of each month. The party chairman is Phillip Stephens, and he can be reached at GOP@nc.rr.com.
MAXTON — The Maxton Board of Commissioners, Laurinburg City Council and the Laurinburg-Maxton Airport Commission will hold a joint meeting on Wednesday in the airport terminal building.
It begins at noon.
