ST. LOUIS — Bobby Locklear, a Lumberton native, was recently honored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for his work securing small business contracts.

Locklear is a contract negotiator with Veterans Affairs.

The recognition was presented by Robert A. Petzel, under secretary for Health with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Locklear is a Vietnam veteran and has been employed with Veterans Affair for more than five years.
