LUMBERTON — Lumbee Guaranty Bank has named James Gore senior vice president and regional executive of the financial institution’s five branches in East Robeson County. As part of his new role, Gore will oversee the bank’s three locations in Lumberton, as well as its branches in Fairmont and St. Pauls.

A native of Columbus County and graduate of North Carolina State University, Gore has been active in finance for more than 23 years. Since moving to Lumberton in 1995, he has been involved in numerous civic organizations, including the United Way of Robeson County, the Robeson County Committee of 100, the Lumberton Rotary Club, and the Kiwanis Club of Robeson-Lumberton.

Gore also served on The University of North Carolina’s School of Business and Foundation Boards. He is married to Kim Gore and the couple have two daughters, Breanna and Stacy Gore.

“I believe in this area and I moved here because I believe in this area. I’m happy to be a part of this organization,” he said. “Our bank claims to be a community bank and it truly is. We’re committed to this area.”

Gore has risen through the ranks quickly at Lumbee Guaranty Bank. The company brought him aboard in 2013, where he started out in commercial lending.

“I am very excited about my new role and I’m looking forward to helping the employees here as they strive to provide excellent service to our clients,” Gore said. “I want to be a resource for the employees and offer solutions to client issues.”

Gore’s office is located at the bank’s Pine Street branch in Lumberton.
